will it be this weekend?

my guess is no, but a mama can hope! i have a feeling boleslaw wants to stick around for a little while longer. so until the grand appearance happens i plan to soak up this belly, listen to albums i have been meaning to get to and stare aimlessly at the nursery being occupied by two fuzzy kittens. i have a feeling we will be scooping cats out of the bassinet on a regular basis once the baby comes.

boleslaw is 39 weeks old in this photo. pretty big difference from 16 weeks if you ask me. and i remember feeling so big at 16 weeks. little did i know!

sunday at kensington

we took a little afternoon trip to kensington market yesterday to catch up with friends, bump in to other friends, stock up on fresh fruits and veggies and discover the best bagel that ever was! it was a pretty packed afternoon but great to get out and feel the sun on our faces. plus we got to catch up with a friend of mine {also mama of the cute babe below} and see two other friends who recently got engaged!

kensignton is great because it is such an eclectic little spot in the city where you can find some pretty amazing vintage finds, great produce like the photo above and specialty goods like lizano- our fav salsa from costa rica. not to mention is has some pretty stellar restaurants, one of which we hadn't been to in a long time. you can read all about that spot here.

i also have to thank our recently engaged friends {kelly & carlos} for introducing me to nu bugel. and at the same time not thanking them because since eating one of those bagels i can't stop thinking about them. i seriously want one right now.

a bit of last weekend...

last weekend our friends (who are getting married in november!) invited us to their family cottage for a few days of sunshine, horseshoes and singing on the lake!  

it took me awhile to post these pictures because really, there are just so many i love!  below are some of the scene and company from a great weekend!

its been busy busy busy over here!

  last week was dedicated to: 

work, sleep and eat; eat, sleep, work 

...and not necessarily in that order.

so to make up for the time lapse between this post and the last i wanted to make a cute little video of our getaway last weekend to this familiar spot.  only problem is that i forgot my battery charger.  boo on me for not charging ahead of time!  i didn't get as many shots as i really wanted- or any with me in them for that matter, but i did manage to get enough to share!  just know, that really is me behind the camera and a quick glimpse of me through jay's shades.  thanks again  philip and family for the invite- we had so much fun!

a bit of our weekend

i hope everyone had a great weekend!  last weekend we were busy with birthday festivities for four different people!  luckily, they were all family so we celebrated all in one spot!

here are two videos taken from the weekend!  the first is the brother-in-law getting all of roger's stadium to sing happy birthday to him {well, almost all of roger's stadium}.  the second is my baby niece being taught by her uncles and auntie to say complicated hockey player names while singing happy birthday to herself.

we have a lot on the go over the next two days but still plan to make time here and there for the little lovely moments before all the fun begins!

a bit of our weekend

this weekend was spent sinking back in.  christmas had pretty much frozen in time, so there was a lot of unopened christmas cards and christmas gifts waiting for my return.  jay was sweet enough to wait until i got home to open any of the cards {gosh, i love that man}  i enjoyed the last bit of decorations left up just for saturday morning and spent the rest of the day throwing wrapping paper balls for the cats to fetch.

sunday morning, the only thing that felt good was grabbing fresh flowers, sticking them in a tea cup and trying as hard as i could to catch the streams of sunlight pouring into our living room.  other then that, sunday was spent cuddling with handsome.
